Review
‘AMTZ has become a flagbearer of Medical Technology Growth Story in India; a country which until recently was import dependent, is now an exporter of RT-PCR and PPE kits, ventilators, oxygen concentrators and many other products. This book is a versatile account of the AMTZ and how an Indian scientist, Dr Jitendra Sharma, led the AMTZ from concept to spectacular success.’
—Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog
Made in Lockdown is an inspiring read on how India is headed towards achieving a major and important milestone of becoming Atmanirbhar Bharat in medical devices, through the AMTZ and the Kalam Institute of Health Technology. These institutions are an outcome of patient and steadfast leadership, coupled with pragmatic implementation. The team’s relentless efforts towards meeting the increasing demand of medical devices during the pandemic under trying conditions are worth a read.
—K. VijayRaghavan, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India
This book is a beautiful commentary on India’s trailblazing innings in medical equipment manufacturing led by Dr Jitendra Sharma. The AMTZ has made India a global exporter of medical equipment from being an importer, even under trying times like COVID-19.
