Rumi sees a frog standing under a large mushroom and decides he wants an umbrella just like the frog's, in order to shield himself from the sun and rains; Twinkle the firefly helps her squirrel friend when its house gets flooded, fiding a hollow in a bamboo tree for it to live in; the forest is divided over who is superior, the sun or the moon; in a pond near Mini's garden live a frog and a bird, who are unhappy that Mini and his brother can speak, while all they can do is tarr-tarr and titer-tirr.
Magic Box is a series produced by Neelesh Misra for children. These stories are meant to be read out by adults to children. Neelesh has also recorded these stories in his voice and they can be accessed on his website www.neeleshmisra.com.
About the Authors
Anulata Raj Nair is a writer and Creative Head of Slow Content Pvt. Ltd owned by Neelesh Misra. She became part of Misra’s Storytellers ‘Mandali’ in 2014 and has written over 350 stories for various highly rated radio shows, hosted by him. She leads the Mandali now and is a mentor to many upcoming writers. She has produced shows like Yaadon Ka Idiot Box on 92.7 Big FM, and Yoddha, Bhootkaal and Qisse Lockdown for Audible. She has also written stories like Qisson Ka Kona, Kahani Express and Time Machine for a well-known platform called Jio Sawan.
Her published works comprise a collection of poems, Ishq Tumhein Ho Jayega and children books, Chakori Nani and Rangbirangi Topi. Her podcast of book reviews, Panne Khan, appears on the Slow App and Audible. Her show Kitabein is broadcast every Friday on Big FM.
Deepak Hira Ranganath is a senior writer with Slow Content Pvt. Ltd. He studied at the Film and Television Institute of India.
Anita Sethi writes stories, essays and poems. She is a part of Neelesh Misra’s Mandali and has written many stories for radio.
Diksha Chaudhari started her journey as a story writer with Yaadon Ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra – Season 5. She has also written stories for Neelesh’s shows Qisse Lockdown Ke and Bhootkal. Most of her stories are based on village life or children. Diksha presently works at TVF, Mumbai and was part of the writing team for the popular show Very Parivarik, which released this year.
