About the Author

Amrita is a scientist by profession with a deep appreciation for Indian heritage, languages, and traditions. As a mother, she is passionate about preserving timeless Indian traditions for her children and future generations. Inspired by a desire to help her own children stay connected to their roots, she compiled this collection of 51 Hindu verses for kids. She believes that our ancestors preserved these sacred words of wisdom for thousands of years, and it is now our responsibility to pass them on. Through this work, she hopes to make learning these verses a meaningful and enriching experience for young minds.

Arpita is an independent visual artist, designer and dreamer based out of Mumbai, India. Her design practice involves documenting all that is imaginative, heartfelt, human. As a visual story-teller, the only thing she likes more than reading about eccentric characters and experiences, is drawing them.
