Raghu is an academic, author, corporate citizen, columnist and a hobbyist.
He was a Professor of Finance, IIM Ahmedabad for nearly two decades before moving to the corporate sector in senior roles. His corporate role as the CEO of a large Foundation included providing leadership to several educational institutions including schools as well higher education and professional institutions. In this role, he also brought Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto to India and remained their director for seven years.
He has authored over 15 books and written over 600 papers and articles. His books include Games Indians Play – a national bestseller, Irrationally Rational, Return to Jammu, The Good Indian’s Guide to Queue Jumping, Beyond the Call of Duty, Duryodhana, Locks, Mahabharata and Mathematics, Ganesha on the Dashboard, The Corruption Conundrum, and Don’t Sprint the Marathon.
Raghu has probably the country’s most varied collection of old and ancient Indian locks.
Enhancing the quality of school education has been something that Meena Raghunathan has been concerned about and working towards for close to four decades: first as part of Centre for Environment Education, a pioneering NGO which has been at the forefront of innovative education; and then starting up and heading CSR for the GMR Group with a focus on education, health, skill training, and livelihoods.
She has developed textbooks for various levels, including the first textbook on the environment for the undergraduate level in India. She has worked on over a dozen teacher-manuals which help integrate sustainability-related concepts into the curriculum, as well as policy documents. She has authored Doing Good: Navigating the CSR Made in
