Review
‘Biopeculiar is a whimsical, delightful collection that is full of heart, wisdom and magic. With prose that often reads like poetry, Gigi Ganguly has assembled a series of vignettes and short stories that are perfect bite-sized reads for modern times.’ — S.B. DIVYA, Hugo- and Nebula-nominated author of Meru
‘Whimsical, tender and perceptive, Biopeculiar blurs the boundaries between human and non-human in a kaleidoscope of viewpoints; in doing so, it invites us to see a truer reflection of ourselves.’ — TASHAN MEHTA, author of Mad Sisters of Esi
‘In the best traditions of speculative fiction, Biopeculiar de-familiarises our settled understandings about the world. This collection of stories compels us to adopt the perspective of the other: from clouds to silkworms, and everything in between. It is a testament both to the imaginative possibilities of the genre, as well as our human capacity for empathy.’ — GAUTAM BHATIA, author of The Wall and The Horizon
‘Intimate, intricate, infinitely imaginative, a marvellous, eye-catching collection.’ — SAMIT BASU
