About the Book
Tales of Law and Laughter brings together thirty anecdotal stories selected from the popular Adaalat Antics series written for TheLeaflet by the author Raju Z. Moray and specially illustrated for this exclusive print edition by Farzana Cooper. Readers will enjoy a humorous view of the life of a lawyer from law college to the Bar and the Bench. These fictional pen-portraits of lawyers and judges have entertained thousands of online readers and there has been an insistent demand from readers to collect and publish this treasury of comic tales in book form. This anthology fulfills that demand.
Meant for lay people and lawyers alike, these insights tell you what happens inside a courtroom. Every litigant knows the truth of each of these stories, but a lawyer could have said it only with humor to avoid contempt of court. This is why you will laugh and cry at the same time while reading these stories illustrated by the well-known illustrator Farzana Cooper. You will laugh more than you cry (if you are not a litigant)." Excerpt from the Foreword by Indira Jaising
